KCE was officially incorporated in 2009. In 2007, KCE commenced research and development resulting in its own proprietary engineered closed anaerobic tank digester with Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor (CSTR) technology. Our first constructed plant is at Rinwood Pelita Plantation Palm Oil Mill, Mukah will employ this technology and will be completed in late 2010.
With climate change and sustainable development becoming key items on the agenda of the Global community, KCE has jointly developed the technology in conjunction with Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) and renewable energy. CDM is a mechanism under the Kyoto Protocol to mitigate and reduce emission of green house gases (GHG) to the environment.
KCE successfully registered its first Methane Avoidance CDM project in East Malaysia with UNFCCC in February 2009. The Project Design Document (PDD) reference number is 2313. |
